Leeds United won against Rotherham United at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday.
Noel Whelan has told BBC Sport (17:09) that Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira needs to be managed properly.
The former Leeds striker made the comments following the Whites’ victory over Rotherham United at home on Monday afternoon.
Vieira did not start the match at Elland Road, but the 18-year-old midfielder came on as a substitute at the start of the second half.
The youngster played well and was instrumental in Garry Monk’s side winning the Championship game 3-0.

Whelan was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of the teenager.
“I don’t remember Vieira giving the ball away – he won lots of challenges,” Whelan told BBC Sport (17:09). “He’s thriving because everyone is full of confidence. It’s important we manage him right.”
Former Leeds midfielder Simon Walton was also following the match, and the 34-year-old believes that Vieira changed the game.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts Leeds had 63% of the possession, took nine shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Rotherham had just 37% of the possession, took 11 shots of which only two were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Leeds are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 25 matches.
