With some big absentees and poor form to contend with, Leeds United face a season-defining period now.
Noel Whelan has told BBC Radio Leeds that he feels Leeds United’s confidence will be at “rock bottom” following their shock FA Cup defeat on Sunday.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: “This isn’t just about getting into the next round, this is about keeping momentum and building confidence within your team and group.”
“At the moment it must just be rock bottom. I feel like it’s rock bottom now.”
Samu Saiz was sent off late on for spitting and the influential Spaniard has since been hit with a six-match ban.
If that wasn’t bad enough then right-back Luke Ayling has been ruled out for the season with an ankle injury and Leeds’ season is showing worrying signs of unraveling.
Thomas Christiansen’s side, who sit sixth in the Championship by a point, face trips to Ipswich Town and Hull City in two of their next three games, and it’s imperative that they find their feet again because, at the moment, their promotion bid hinges on it.
