Noel Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds (10:12pm, October 19, 2020) that he was disappointed with the performance of Jack Harrison for Leeds United against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, was not impressed with the deliveries that Harrison, on loan from Manchester City, put into the box.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds (10:12pm, October 19, 2020): “I think the best deliveries came from the full-backs, Ayling and Dallas at times.

“I was really disappointed with Harrison. I have seen him have miles better games in crosses into the box where it gives the striker half a chance to attack because you work so hard to get into those areas.”

How did Jack Harrison play?

Harrison was back in the Leeds starting lineup after not being eligible for the Premier League game against his parent club City before the two-week international break.

The 23-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, worked hard as usual, and although he started the match wrongly, he failed to make an impact as the game went on.

According to WhoScored, the Englishman took one shot which was not on target, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 77.8%, won one header, took 61 touches, made three tackles and two interceptions, and put in 10 crosses of which only two were accurate.
