Leeds United maintained their good run of form with a 1-0 victory over Norwich City at home in the Championship this afternoon.

The West Yorkshire outfit headed into the match against Norwich at Elland Road on the back of a 3-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers away from home at Loftus Road in London in the league.

The Whites were favourites heading into the match against Canaries, and they managed to pick up all three points from the encounter.

Sweden international central defender Pontus Jansson’s goal in the 41st minute proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he has given his take on the performance of Thomas Christiansen’s side at full time.

Whelan told BBC Radio Leeds at full time (4:58pm): “It’s about getting the three points, three more points on the board to keep that momentum going.”

When asked who stood out for him, Whelan said: “You have got to look at the back four. The two centre-halves were solid today. They dominated Oliveira. Cibicki on that right-hand side, great delivery, gets another assist to his name.”
