Leeds United have won against Barnsley in the Championship this afternoon.

Leeds United returned to winning ways in the Championship this afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley away from home.
Thomas Christiansen’s side got the better of Barnsley 2-0 at Oakwell, thanks to goals from Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski in the first half.
Saiz put the visiting team in the lead midway through the first half when he found the target from 25 yards.
Alioski doubled the advantage for the Whites in the third minute of first-half injury time, slotting home a curling left-footed effort from the edge of the box.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he told BBC Radio Leeds at full time (2:35pm): “Man on man, I think we won all our battles pretty much all over the field, if not all of the field.”
Whelan added: “We were up for it today, and good sides always bounce back, and that’s what we have done again today.”

Barnsley are in danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the season, and Leeds were expected to win this afternoon – and they did just that.
The performances of the Whites at Oakwell was very encouraging, and fans must be pleased with the way the team bounced back from their 4-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at the Molineux Stadium in the league on Wednesday evening.
The win against Barnsley this afternoon has enhanced Leeds’s chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
