Leeds United have returned to winning ways in the Premier League this evening with a 1-0 victory over Everton away from home at Goodison Park.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side had suffered successive 4-1 defeats in the league before the international break and played out a goalless draw with Arsenal at Elland Road last weekend.
On Saturday evening, the West Yorkshire club got the better of Everton 1-0, thanks to Raphinha’s goal in the 79th minute.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he has given his take on the win for the visiting team.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds (7:28pm, November 28, 2020): “Great performance. Similar kind of performance against Arsenal, so many chances in this game, but it took a moment of brilliance and a great strike from Raphinha to separate these two sides, and what a goal to get off the mark with.”
