Pablo Hernandez, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison scored for Leeds United against Bristol City.

Leeds United have kicked off their 2019-20 Championship campaign in style, as they have got the better of Bristol City at the Ashton Gate Stadium.
Many will have had doubts on Leeds given how their 2018-19 season ended in bitter disappointment and the recent sale of star defender Pontus Jansson to Championship rivals Brentford.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side, though, did not show any signs of nervousness, as they got the better of City 3-1 away from home with relative ease.
Pablo Hernandez put Leeds in the lead after just 26 minutes, and Patrick Bamford doubled the advantage on 57 minutes.
Jack Harrison, back on loan from Premier League outfit Manchester City, made it 3-0 to the visiting team on 72 minutes, while Andreas Weimann scored a consolation goal for the home team.

The performance of Leeds was brilliant, and fans of the West Yorkshire outfit will be very pleased with it.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he has given his take on the win for Bielsa’s side.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds on Sunday evening (6:24pm, August 4, 2019): “Great victory away from home at the start of the season. Three very, very good goals, could have been more, let’s be honest, and a goal that Leeds will feel very disappointed about conceding because it’s nearly a perfect day at the office.”
