Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United have won against Bolton Wanderers.

Leeds United have maintained their good run of form in the Championship with a 1-0 win against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
With Bolton struggling for survival in the Championship at the moment, Leeds were heavy favourites to pick up all three points at the University of Bolton Stadium.
The West Yorkshire outfit scored the only goal of the match midway through the second half through Patrick Bamford.
The win means that Leeds are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 22 matches.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Bolton had 30% of the possession, took four shots of which none was on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Leeds had 70% of the possession, took 12 shots of which four were on target, and earned 10 corners, according to BBC Sport.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance produced by Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds at full time on Saturday afternoon (4:55pm, December 15, 2018) while referring to Bamford’s goal: “That’s the only chance he probably got today in that game, a clear chance for Leeds as well, and he puts it in the back of the net.
“That’s the difference, and that’s why we are sitting at the top of the league tonight because we have got to turn these ugly horrible games into wins.”
