Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United have drawn with Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the Championship on Friday.

Leeds United and Middlesbrough have played out a goalless draw with each other at Elland Road in the Championship this evening.
It was first against second in the league table and many would have expected there to be a few goals, but it did not turn out that way.
Noel Whelan was following the match, and former Leeds striker has give his take on the performance of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Whelan told BBC Radio Leeds at full time (9:38pm, Friday, August 31, 2018): “A great competition between two very, very strong sides. Good on the ball, well organised.
“It was entertaining without any goals being involved, had a bit of everything really. But I felt Leeds tonight really stepped up a notch against a very, very strong Boro side, held their own without causing too much problem in the 18-yard box of Middlesbrough.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Friday evening, hosts Leeds had 62% of the possession, took 11 shots of which three were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Middlesbrough had 38% of the possession, took nine shots of which three were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
The result means that both Leeds and Middlesbrough have picked up 14 points from six matches in the Championship so far this season.
Both the Whites and Boro will probably be pleased with the final result at Elland Road on Friday evening.
