Noel Whelan has given his take on BBC Radio Leeds (9:52pm, February 19, 2021) on Leeds United’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers this evening.

Leeds have suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves away from home at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League.

An own goal from Illan Meslier proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Former Leeds striker Whelan was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he has given his take on the final result.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds (9:52pm, February 19, 2021): “The football gods were not shining down on Leeds United this evening. I think a draw would have been a fair result.

“It’s horrible to lose a game from an own goal from your goalkeeper, but I think we have got to look back as well at some of the attempts and chances that we had, that we could have done a lot better with.”
