Leeds United lost to Sheffield Wednesday at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship on Sunday.

Leeds United have suffered yet another defeat in the Championship, going down 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium.
The Whites headed into the match on the back of 3-1 defeat to Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the league.
The performances and results of Thomas Christiansen’s side in recent matches have been disappointing, and they failed to pick up even a single point this afternoon.

Wednesday went ahead at the Hillsborough Stadium in the 25th minute when Gary Hooper scored. The former Celtic forward doubled the advantage for the home team on 41 minutes.
Kieran Lee wrapped up the points for the Owls in the 82nd minute with a wonderful strike.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he told BBC Radio Leeds at full time: “They looked awful today. Bar the first 15 minutes when there was some great football played, mainly by Saiz, they were second in the game to Sheffield Wednesday. Too many below-par performances out there today.”
Wednesday are a strong side and are one of the contenders for a top-two finish in the Championship this season.”
Losing to the Owls is not an embarrassment, but the Leeds team and the fans should be disappointed with the performance.
