The West Yorkshire outfit headed into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Newport County away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.
Winning against Ipswich on their own turf is never easy, but Leeds fans will have expected the team to at least pick up a point.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match, and he told BBC Radio Leeds at full time (5:01pm): “I go back to the Forest game, created chances, not ruthless.
“No finishing, no natural goalscorer, and that’s the thing. We have got to start putting the ball in the back of the net. We have got to be ruthless.”
