Leeds United played out an enthralling game with Millwall at Elland Road today.

Leeds United moved back into the Championship’s automatic promotion places following a thrilling 3-2 win over Millwall at Elland Road this afternoon.
Ben Thompson fired the visitors into the lead on 10 minutes but Pablo Hernandez drew level for Leeds after the half-hour mark to ensure parity at the break.
The Londoners reclaimed the lead 10 minutes after the break when United captain Liam Cooper conceded a penalty which Ben Marshall converted.
But the Whites pegged Millwall back once again through an unlikely source on 71 minutes, with right-back Luke Ayling scoring a fine equaliser for his first goal since August.
The hosts moved ahead for the first time with seven minutes left, when Hernandez, bizarrely omitted from the Championship Team of the Year this week, made a further mockery of that snub by completing his brace and sending United second.
With Sheffield United losing at home to Bristol City, Marcelo Bielsa’s side leapfrogged the Blades into second with a two-point cushion, and former Leeds marksman Noel Whelan was delighted with the result – and Hernandez’s display in particular.
He told BBC West Yorkshire Sport: “It’s a massive victory. It shows great character to come back and get the three points. He [Hernandez] was instrumental. He’s taken on Millwall by himself. You can see that winning mentality he has. It’s a great lesson for any young lads out there. He epitomises everything.”
