Leeds United slumped to a second successive defeat by losing at Nottingham Forest.
Well, Leeds United are human as it turns out.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side slumped to a 4-2 defeat away to Nottingham Forest, despite a very gallant effort by the 10-man Whites.
Leeds had led 2-1 at one point in the second half despite Kalvin Phillips being sent off shortly before the break, when the score was 1-0 to Forest.
But Jack Colback equalised on 69 minutes to make it 2-2 with his second of the afternoon, before a quickfire double from Daryl Murphy and Ben Osborn flipped the game on its head.
It was the first time all season that the Championship leaders had lost back-to-back league games.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Bielsa’s troops had chances nonetheless and Kemar Roofe was particularly guilty of spurning a few.
And here’s what former United hitman Noel Whelan made of the defeat, telling BBC Radio Leeds: “They [Forest] weren’t superior today by any stretch of the imagination. What they have done is finished their chances. We didn’t finish our chances.
“Kemar Roofe had three glorious chances and didn’t put one of them in the back of the net.”
Norwich scored an 83rd-minute equaliser away to Brentford to draw 1-1 and move within two points of the Elland Road club, whose cushion in the top two has been cut to four points.
