Swansea City-owned Kyle Bartley featured in Leeds United’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on Friday evening.
Noel Whelan has told BBC Sport that Leeds United defender Kyle Bartley had a poor game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bartley, who joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Swansea City in the summer transfer window, featured in the Championship match against Brighton away from home at the American Express Community Stadium on Friday evening.
The 25-year-old centre-back started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Whites suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Glenn Murray put the Seagulls in the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half. Then on 82 minutes, Tomer Hemed wrapped up the points for Brighton with his side’s second spot kick.
Bartley gave away the second penalty by committing a foul on Lewis Dunk, and former Leeds striker Whelan was not impressed with the defender’s performance.
“That’s a soft penalty but Bartley has had one of the poorest games I’ve ever seen him have,” Whelan told BBC Sport.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the American Express Community Stadium on Friday evening, hosts Brighton had 60% of the possession, took 18 shots of which seven were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Leeds, who ended the match with 10 men, had 40% of the possession, took two shots of which none was on target, and earned only one corner, according to BBC Sport.
