Noel Whelan raves about Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw

Adam Forshaw was in action for Leeds United against Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Noel Whelan has praised Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw on BBC Radio Leeds for his performance against Queens Park Rangers.

Forshaw featured for Leeds in their 2-1 win against QPR at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

According to WhoScored, against QPR, the 27-year-old midfielder had a pass accuracy of 90.6%, won one header, made three tackles, three interceptions and one clearance, and played one key pass.

The former Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough midfielder played well against Rangers, especially in the second half, and was superb in the middle of the park and also contributed in Leeds’s attacking forays.

The 27-year-old midfielder has made seven starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds so far this season, according to WhoScored.

The win against QPR means that Leeds are now second in the Championship table with 42 points from 21 matches, just a point behind leaders Norwich City.

Former Leeds striker Whelan was following the match on Saturday afternoon, and he was impressed with the display produced by Forshaw.

Whelan said about Forshaw on BBC Radio Leeds: “He has been brilliant, absolutely immense.”

“He just seemed to be everywhere, like there were 10 Forshaws out there on the field sometimes,” added Whelan. “He is one of these players you would love to have in your side.”
