The Northern Irish winger was back to a higher level of performance last night.

Leeds United won their first home game at Elland Road in the Championship this season with a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers last night.

A late goal from Kyle Bartley earned the victory, after Marvin Emnes had cancelled out Chris Wood’s opener for the Yorkshire side.

Leeds boss Garry Monk was under pressure before the game, after a poor performance in defeat v Huddersfield Town at the weekend.

With that in mind he made some changes to the Leeds starting line-up.

One man who came back in was Stuart Dallas. His performance was a real plus from the game and former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was pleased to see him back to his best.

He told BBC Radio Leeds:

“Dallas for me (was) brilliant this evening.

“Very, very sharp. Full of energy and created some great chances for Sacko with those diagonal balls and picking him out.

“He just looked like the Stuart Dallas we expect to have here at Elland Road.”

Dallas had struggled to find his best form at the start of the current campaign. It came after a long season with Leeds last term, which never stopped. He was a part of the Northern Ireland team at the Euros in France and also got married in a busy summer.

With that in mind it was no shock to see him slightly below-par.

But the Northern Irishman looked fresh again against Blackburn and hopefully his return to form can see Leeds produce more consistent performances.
