Patrick Bamford scored twice for Leeds United at the weekend.

Noel Whelan has spoken highly of Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford on BBC Radio Leeds.
The former Leeds striker was impressed with Bamford’s performance for the Whites against Wigan Athletic in the Championship at the weekend.
The former Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough forward scored twice at the DW Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side won 2-0.
Whelan said about Bamford on BBC Radio Leeds: “He is working so hard. He looks fitter, he looks a lot stronger, he is chasing down balls he has got absolutely zero right to win and getting something out of it. He has got a real appetite for the game at the minute.”
Positive start
Bamford struggled with injury issues last season, and the forward managed to make only 16 starts and just seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The forward has already scored three goals in three league appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit this campaign, according to WhoScored.
With Kemar Roofe gone, Bamford has stepped up and is leading the line well for Leeds at the moment.
With Bamford playing well and the team looking strong in all department, Leeds fans should be optimistic about a top-two finish in the Championship this season.
