Jamie Shackleton played well for Leeds United against Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road in the Championship at the weekend.

Shackleton featured for Leeds in their 2-1 win against QPR at Elland Road in the Championship last Saturday afternoon.
The 19-year-old right-back started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and former Leeds striker Whelan was impressed.
Whelan said about Shackleton on BBC Radio Leeds: “He was fantastic. Loads of energy down the right-hand side, very positive, tenacious, loves a bit of a tackle and a battle as well, very forward-thinking.”

Promising talent
According to WhoScored, Shackleton took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 94.4%, won two headers, made one clearance, and made one key pass.
The 19-year-old has made two starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this season, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
The teenager did not look flashy against QPR, but the right-back did his job efficiently and professionally.
One suspects that when Leeds’s injury problems at the back are over, Shackleton will not get as much playing time as he is getting now, but that should not impede his progress.
