Kalvin Phillips was in action for Leeds United against Ipswich Town in the Championship on Wednesday.

The former Leeds striker was impressed with the performance of Phillips for the Whites against Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the Championship on Wednesday evening.
The 22-year-old central midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side won 2-0.
Whelan was impressed with the performance of Phillips and spoke highly of the youngster, summing up his display in one word – “excellent”.
“I thought he was excellent,” Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds on Wednesday evening (9:47pm, October 24, 2018) about Phillips. “His range of passing. I am not sure he even gave the ball away this evening.”

Phillips is one of the best young central midfielders in the Championship and is playing well for Leeds at the moment.
The 22-year-old has established himself as an important player in Bielsa’s team, and his importance will only grow in the coming weeks and months.
