Pablo Hernandez’s current contract at Leeds United runs out in the summer.

Pablo Hernandez is one of the most creative players in the current Leeds United team. The 32-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, has played well this season.
There have been occasions when Hernandez has failed to rise to the occasion, but the Spaniard has done quite well for Leeds this campaign.
The former Valencia star has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 35 Championship matches for the Whites this season. Hernandez has also created as many as 90 chances for the West Yorkshire outfit.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan, though, does not seem to be too convinced. Whelan has suggested that Hernandez is not consistent enough and does not turn up every week.
“He’s not particularly convinced me he’s worth more time in a Leeds shirt – but sometimes, one season at a club is not enough,” Whelan told BBC Sport about Hernandez. “That’s all I can say from personal experience – it can take time to adapt to a new style.
“I need my number ten to dictate games and I don’t think he does enough for me. You can’t carry a luxury player and he has been a passenger in some games. He’s brought moment of genius at times but you want to be able to expect players to turn up every week.”
Hernandez’s current contract with Leeds runs out in the summer, and it would be wise of the Whites to hand him a new deal.
The Spaniard may not be too consistent, but he is a very creative player who is capable of weaving magic during the toughest of times.
