Patrick Bamford hasn’t scored for Leeds United since August.

Noel Whelan believes that Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford isn’t far away from a goalscoring spree.
The struggling Whites striker hasn’t found the net in a Championship game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side since way back in August.
Bamford, a £10 million signing in 2018 [BBC Sport], is now 10 league games without a goal.
Despite that, the 25-year-old is finding himself with goalscoring chances and had one incorrectly ruled out for offside in the 2-0 win over QPR this past weekend.
And former Leeds striker Whelan believes that even a scruffy goal could open the floodgates for him.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: “I think he [Bamford] needs that scruffy goal, one off his knee, one off his bottom. Then he will go on that scoring run.
“I’ve played up front before and gone through four, five, six games without a goal, then I got a goal and you go and score for three weeks on the bounce. That’s the sort of thing I am pretty sure Patrick can do.”
The exciting thing about Bamford’s barren spell is that Leeds aren’t suffering a whole lot.
Bielsa’s troops are third in the Championship and two points behind top-of-the-table West Brom – and that’s without their main striker scoring.
When Bamford does hit a purple patch, it could propel United to new heights in the Championship and, more importantly, keep them there in time for May.
