Noel Whelan said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, September 9, 2016) that Hadi Sacko is the best winger at Leeds United.

Sacko joined Championship club Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old is a very versatile footballer who can operate as an attacking midfielder, a winger or as a striker.

Former Leeds striker Whelan believes that Sacko is the best winger at the West Yorkshire outfit at the moment.

The Englishman made the comment while discussing the upcoming Championship match between Leeds and Huddersfield Town.

Sacko is likely to start for Garry Monk’s side against Huddersfield at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

“Sacko is dangerous,” said Whelan on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, September 9, 2016).

“For me, he is the best winger that we have got at the club. On his day, he can just breeze past people, but it’s about the final ball into the box to feed the strikers. It’s got to be better.”

Sacko has scored one goal and created four chances in five Championship appearances for Leeds so far this season.

While the former France Under-20 international has done relatively well for the Whites so far this season, some will suggest that Stuart Dallas is a better winger than the 22-year-old.

The 25-year-old, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has not been exactly great so far this season, though.

The Northern Ireland international has created two chances in three league matches for Monk’s side so far this campaign.

During the 2015-16 season, Dallas scored five goals and created 51 chances in 44 Championship games for Leeds.
