The German has won fans over again with his recent displays for Leeds United.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga of Leeds United
Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan has been talking about Pierre-Michel Lasogga this week, suggesting he has seen an improvement from the German striker.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds the former Leeds star stated:
“You look at the goals he has scored and they are fantastically taken, well finished. Great strikers goals, one touch many of them.
“I did see an improvement in his work-rate the other day against Sheffield United. A better style of movement , trying to get away from defenders and take centre-halves into the wide areas and out of position and he was running at defenders.
“Yes, he is not blessed with great pace, he’s a big fella. But I did like the willingness. It shows that someone cares and I did see that improvement in his game.”
It comes after the Hamburg loanee has improved his form in recent weeks.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga of Leeds United
The German had found himself being criticised by fans after a period of poor form but he has again started to win over the Leeds faithful with his bullish style and personality.
Fans at Leeds can see that Lasogga is enjoying himself at Elland Road and that has certainly helped improve his performances and his stock with the home crowd.
Lasogga, who has scored eight goals for the club this season, will now be hoping to go on a scoring streak to end the campaign.
If he can do that, then it would go a long way toward Leeds potentially sneaking into the play-off picture.
