Noel Whelan has criticised Leeds United winger Helder Costa on BBC Radio Leeds.
The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, does not think that Costa has done enough this season.
Whelan believes that the money that Leeds spent on the winger to sign from Wolverhampton Wanderers has not been worth it.
The Englishman said about Costa on BBC Radio Leeds: “For someone that has cost us £17 million, that we thought was going to be a great player, he has turned out to be absolutely none of the above so far apart from a good start to the season where he got a goal, a couple of assists and then gone back to what we had seen from him before, on legs quickness, but no intelligence on the ball.”

Costa has not made a massive impact at Leeds and is not guaranteed a place in head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s starting lineup.
The Portugal international spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds from Wolves before making the move permanent for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £16 million.
According to WhoScored, Costa made 33 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Championship for the Whites last season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the process.
So far this season, the Portuguese has made eight starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Costa needs to step up his game and show what he is capable of, as Leeds aim to have a successful season in the Premier League.
