Leeds United’s Vurnon Anita did okay on Saturday – his second game since October.

Noel Whelan has told BBC Radio Leeds that Vurnon Anita was decent in Leeds United’s 1-0 defeat at Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Bersant Celina struck a second-half winner as 10-man Leeds – who had Eunan O’Kane dismissed on 37 minutes – slumped to a third defeat in four games from all competitions.
Anita, who joined United for free in the summer after a long spell at Newcastle United, played at right-back in the absence of Luke Ayling following his season-ended injury.

And the Dutchman didn’t put a foot wrong in what was only his second appearance for the Whites since October.
The 28-year-old arrived in England as a central midfielder but has since played in a host of other roles for the Magpies, and former Leeds man Whelan believes that manager Thomas Christiansen will continue to play him as a defender.
“He’s one of those that it [central midfield] is his natural position,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.

“But he’s played out of that position for such a long time now that I think the manager just sees him playing as that wing-back role.
“I thought he did OK. He is consistent enough isn’t he?”
