Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United won against Millwall at Elland Road at the weekend.

Leeds United maintained their challenge for automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season with victory over Millwall at the weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side got the better of Millwall 3-2 at Elland Road in the Championship this past Saturday afternoon.
The result means that the West Yorkshire outfit are now second in the league table with 76 points from 39 matches, five points behind leaders Norwich City.
The win against Millwall at home was hard-fought, but exciting, and there was one particular decision from head coach Bielsa that may have surprised the Elland Road faithful.
Midway through the second half, Bielsa decided to take off Sweden international central defender Pontus Jansson and brought on 18-year-old Jack Clarke, who can operate as a winger or as a forward.
That decision proved to be quite a shrewd one, as Clarke played well and helped the West Yorkshire outfit picked up all three points against Millwall.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he has given his take on Bielsa’s decision.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds: “It was a positive change. He brings on Jack Clarke, another attacking player.
“He moves Kalvin Phillips to the centre-half role, it gives you more attacking players and more flair out there to go and win the game of football. It’s a brave move.
“Plus, Jansson was getting a little bit irate out there, I think, after his yellow card. He was protecting him as well.”
