Leeds United will return to action this afternoon when they take on Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers away from home at Loftus Road in the third round of the FA Cup.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will head into the match against QPR on the back of a 4-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the Championship.

The defeat to Forest followed a 2-0 loss at the hands of Hull City at Elland Road in the league.

Leeds head coach Bielsa has already named his starting lineup against QPR, and has said that he will deploy Manchester City-owned youngster Jack Harrison as a striker, as quoted in Leeds Live.

The 22-year-old Englishman, who joined Leeds on loan from City in the summer transfer window, can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.

The youngster has made 12 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.

Former Leeds striker Whelan has given his take on Bielsa’s decision to deploy Harrison as a number nine.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds when asked about Bielsa’s decision regarding Harrison: “Very strange, but look, I don’t train him Monday to Friday, I am not with him all the time, only the manager sees a reason why he is putting him through the middle.”
