Leeds United will face Bristol City at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

With Bailey Peacock-Farrell injured for the Championship match against Bristol City this afternoon and Jamal Blackman having returned to Chelsea after injury, Leeds United will have no option but to field either Will Huffer or Kamil Miazek in goal at Elland Road.

Huffer is only 20 years of age and signed professional terms with Leeds only last December.

Miazek is 22 years of age and earned a contract at the Whites after initially impressing on trial.

Both Huffer and Miazek are inexperienced goalkeepers, and it is going to be tough for either of them against City this afternoon.

It will be interesting to see which young goalkeeper Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa gives the nod to.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has given his take on the situation, and he has also shared a conversation with a club insider about the conundrum.

Whelan (jokingly) said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (6:17pm, November 23, 2018) when asked who will start in goal for Leeds, Huffer and Miazek: “Miazek. He has got bigger hands. That’s what we said in the office before.”

“I have got no idea,” added Whelan. “I spoke to somebody at Leeds United today, and they didn’t even have a clue. They work within the club.”

Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 30 points from 17 matches, just three points behind leaders Norwich City.

The West Yorkshire outfit will fancy their chances of picking up all three points against City this afternoon.
