Ezgjan Alioski was in action for Leeds United against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Alioski started for Leeds in their Championship game against Villa away from home at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon and played for the entire 90 minutes.
According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old winger took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, and made one interception.
The Macedonia international looked more confident on the ball than he had in recent weeks, worked tirelessly up and down the pitch, and also played a brilliant pass for his Leeds teammate Mateusz Klich.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was impressed with the performance of Alioski against Villa, and wants the 26-year-old winger to show more consistency.
Whelan said about Alioski on BBC Radio Leeds after the match on Sunday: “Had a great game. I have not been his biggest fan on the ball at times.”
The former Leeds striker added: “I have always said his work rate off the ball is fantastic, but today the quality that he had on the ball was different.
“We know it’s in him, just getting the consistency out of him, a little bit more intelligence, because he is an international player, and we want to see that international performance week in week out that we know he has got in him.”

Alioski has not always played well this season, but the winger remains a consistent figure in Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s starting lineup.
What the winger brings to the team is hard work and abundance of energy, and his work rate was crucial in the Whites getting the better of Villa on Sunday evening.
