Noel Whelan hopes that Arsenal-owned Eddie Nketiah can do at Leeds United what Chelsea-owned striker Tammy Abraham did at Aston Villa and Bristol City.

Abraham played for Villa during the 2019-20 campaign on loan from Premier League outfit Chelsea.
According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old scored 26 goals and provided three assists in 40 Championship appearances for the Villans last season.
Back in 2016-17, during a loan spell at Bristol City, the England international made 40 starts and one substitute appearances in the Championship, scoring 23 goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Leeds have secured the services of 20-year-old forward Nketiah from Premier League club Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Former Leeds striker Whelan hopes that the youngster can be a Tammy Abraham at Elland Road.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds: “Let’s hope he is another Tammy Abraham, who on his loan spells knocked in 20+ when he has been at football clubs and has been very prolific.
“It’s his first real start to his professional career, I would say, where he is going to get a full season of football. I think he suits the way Marcelo Bielsa plays.”
Back in action
Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Nottingham Forest at Elland Road in the Championship.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side got the better of Bristol City 3-1 away from home in the league last weekend.
