The win against West Brom means that Leeds are now at the top of the Championship table with 67 points from 35 matches, a point clear of second-placed Norwich City.

Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he has given his take on the performance of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds at full time on Friday evening (9:38pm, March 1, 2019): “It really was (a perfect performance).

“Every aspect, every element that you want from a football match, you got given tonight, and they ticked every single box.”

Meanwhile, former Leeds star Michael Bridges has revelled in the win for the Whites on Twitter.

Leeds will return to action next weekend when they take on Bristol City away from home in the Championship.

The Whites will head into the match high on confidence, and perhaps the West Yorkshire outfit will not step up a gear and rally to the finish line.
