Trent Alexander-Arnold was in action for England against Australia on Friday evening, and Joe Cole was blown away by the Liverpool right-back.

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold started at right-back for England against Australia at Wembley Stadium in London on Friday evening.

England won the friendly international 1-0.

Alexander-Arnold was involved in the only goal of the match, finding Manchester City star Jack Grealish with a wonderful ball.

Grealish then shot on goal, and it was turned in by Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

Former Liverpool and England international star Joe Cole was impressed by Alexander-Arnold’s pass to Grealish and by his overall performance.

Cole said on Channel 4 (10:47 pm, October 14, 2023): “Look at this ball now.

“Nobody in world football is delivering that on the turn, first time, and that’s the difference.”

My View: Liverpool and England star Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class

In my opinion, Liverpool and England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is a world-class player.

I believe that the 25-year-old is one of the best players on the planet.

Yes, Alexander-Arnold does have issues at the back where he leaves pace.

And, perhaps the 25-year-old needs to be more defence-oriented in certain games.

But, overall, he is a very good right-back and one of the best in the world in his position.

Alexander-Arnold has also done well for Liverpool and England when he has played in midfield.

Perhaps in the future, Alexander-Arnold will move into midfield permanently for both club and country.
