West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has revealed on the Peter Crouch podcast that Angelo Ogbonna’s experience with Carlos Tevez was completely different to his.
Tevez made his name in English football at West Ham, when he signed for the London club in 2006.
At the time, the striker didn’t have the reputation that he formed for himself after great success in the Premier League.
And Noble said that Tevez trained very well at West Ham, although he was told by Ogbonna that the Argentine was very different by the time he was at Juventus.
“Do you know what? With us, I think because it was his first club in the UK he did do a bit in training and at times he was unplayable,” Noble said, when questioned about Tevez’s work ethic in training.
“But when Ogbonna signed for us and he was at Juve with him that’s what he said to me.
“In training he didn’t care, but on Saturday was he was like a mad-man. He was incredible.
“But you could tell when he was with us, he wasn’t staying at West Ham!”

Noble went on to say that Tevez is one of the best players that he has ever featured alongside at West Ham.
The veteran forward, who is 37 and still playing for Boca Juniors, went on to represent the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Juve after his move to West Ham.
In the end Tevez made 29 appearances for the Hammers, and scored the crucial goal to keep them up in the 2006/07 campaign.
