Newcastle United icon Nobby Solano took part in a Q&A on Steve Wraith’s official YouTube channel.

The Peruvian, a fan favourite at Newcastle United, still has fond memories about his time at the club and, like any other Magpies fan, he is hugely excited about the imminent takeover.

The Magpies are soon to have one of the wealthiest men in the world as their new owner. Newcastle could potentially become a giant in the Premier League with good investment, which makes it exciting times for all supporters.

Solano was asked to pick three players to form Newcastle’s spine next season and the Peruvian was incredibly bold with his suggestions.

He said: “I would love to see Neymar, Harry Kane – he is a proper striker, reminds me very much of Alan Shearer and for sure, Mbappe is a superstar. If you want to win the league, you need quality players.”

Newcastle fans’ dreams have been big amid speculation about the future. But, even with the wealthiest owner in the Premier League in charge, there is no way the Magpies can land any of those three superstars.

Neymar and Mbappe are arguably the two best players in the world after Messi and Ronaldo. The duo have been brilliant for PSG and it is widely expected that their next destination will be Spain.

Spurs star Kane, however, has expressed his desire to win trophies and admitted that he isn’t scared to move in order to achieve his ambitions.

A move away from Tottenham to win the biggest trophies makes sense but, even with huge investment, Newcastle are likely to be on the same level, if not below where Spurs are at the moment.

Newcastle fans are in a position where they can dream big now. However Solano’s dreams might just be a little too much for them at the moment.
