Crystal Palace reportedly want £70million for Wilfried Zaha so Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly looking elsewhere. Here are three alternatives.

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their interest in signing Wilfried Zaha as Crystal Palace demand at least £70m for the winger, according to the Daily Mail.

Zaha’s weekly wages of £110,000-a-week also put off Spurs, who have a strict wage structure in place, and they will now look at alternatives to the Ivory Coast international.

The 25-year-old is naturally a wide player but has developed as a striker under Eagles manager Roy Hodgson so what other options who operate in a similar style could Tottenham sign instead?

Ousmane Dembele

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Dembele could be sold by Barcelona for £87.6m just 12 months after being signed from Borussia Dortmund for £135.5m (BBC).

The departure of Dembele would allow Barca to make a move for Antoine Griezmann or even Mohamed Salah and despite a difficult 12 months in Catalonia the 21-year-old showed at Dortmund before that just what a talent he is.

Malcom

Strongly linked with Spurs during the January transfer window, as outlined by football.london at the time, the Brazilian has enjoyed an impressive season at Bordeaux with 12 goals in 35 Ligue 1 games.

The 21-year-old is also expected to move this summer, with the Premier League on the attacker’s radar, telling Sky Sports in March:

“I want to play for an elite club in Europe, win the Champions League and play for the Selecao (Brazil national team).

“I am learning English, because it is the most important language in the world.

“I have learned the language very quickly, had no big troubles. French was much more difficult. So I would manage to live in England.”

Anthony Martial

The deal that seems the most likely currently, with the same report from the Mail saying that Mauricio Pochettino has made Martial a priority signing with his £100m budget.

The Frenchman has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United and with the ability to play wide left or through the middle, could be exactly what the North Londoners need.
