Leeds United midfielder, Kalvin Phillips, told talkSPORT that there are ‘no words to describe how talented’ reported Liverpool target, Jude Bellingham, is for his club and country.

As a midfielder himself, Phillips has been sharing the same field as the 17-year-old, with both players named in Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

With Bellingham now playing on a bigger stage with Dortmund, he has seen his stock rise even further, with the likes of Liverpool seemingly sharing an interest in his talents.

Eurosport have claimed that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the England international, who came through the ranks of Birmingham City.

And Phillips shared that he has been left wowed by his talents, especially given his tender age.

“There are no words to describe how talented he is,” said Phillips. “As you can see, throughout his career at Birmingham and then moving to Dortmund, which is a massive move for a kid so young.

“The way he has performed in certain games. The Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City. Just on the highest stage. It was like he was ready to be there.

“For a kid so young, at 17, you look at him and you cannot quite believe that he is 17-years-old because he’s so big, strong and powerful.

“He’s a great player. I am glad to have him here. Glad to have him on my team. It’s nice to rub shoulders with a young lad who is doing so well. The sky is the limit for him.

“I definitely haven’t seen a 17-year-old that is as talented as he is. I cannot remember ever. I don’t think I am as talented as him if I am honest.”

Bellingham has the footballing world at his feet, who at just 17 is already performing better than players who are highly rated at 24, 25 and 26.

A box-to-box number eight, it will be interesting to see how Bellingham’s career progresses, and just like his move to Dortmund last summer, he has to make the right choices in his career.

A move to Liverpool during these coming years wouldn’t be a bad idea because he would be near-on perfect for a Jurgen Klopp midfield.

But, at this moment in time, he has to look at the bigger picture and that’s developing in Germany where he was recently was named best newcomer.
