Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have had a defended Jose Mourinho after Heung-Min Son’s latest comments about him.

Son said to TV Sport 3 that he was very ‘sad’ about the way Mourinho’s departure happened at Spurs.

The striker also claimed that he still regards Mourinho as one of the best managers in the world.

He said: “It’s always sad if someone lose the day job. Having worked with him for 17 or 18 months, it’s been up and down it’s been good and sometimes we’ve been not so good.

“I think for me and my memory he will still be one of the best managers in the world.

“It’s just so sad that he didn’t go with success. It was really sad because he is the guy that wins everything. It was the only team that he wasn’t successful, so I feel really sorry about this kind of thing.”

And it seems that Mourinho did have some support from Tottenham supporters, despite their struggles this term.

Interestingly, Son’s form does not seem to have been negatively impacted by Mourinho’s departure.

The Tottenham front man has scored in both of Ryan Mason’s Premier League games in charge, with his showings really catching the eye.

Son will be anxiously waiting to find out who Tottenham’s next manager is, with Daniel Levy still searching for potential successors to Mourinho.
