Tottenham Hotspur sacked Jose Mourinho almost two months ago.
The Portuguese left his role as Spurs’ head coach on April 19 of this year and there is still nobody occupying the manager’s seat in North London.
Well, no humans.
A photo has emerged of where Mourinho used to sit at Tottenham’s £1 billion stadium and, believe it or not, but the seat has quite literally started to develop cobwebs.
The itsy bitsies have gotten to it and clearly marked their territory – and here’ how some Lilywhites fans reacted to the picture on Twitter this afternoon:
Fonseca incoming?
Despite the delay in hiring a replacement for Mourinho, chairman Daniel Levy should have news on this front soon.
Julian Nagelsmann and Brendan Rodgers both turned down the Tottenham job, before negotiations with Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte collapsed.
It seemed like Levy and the North Londoners were back to square one, but Paulo Fonseca is heavily expected to be appointed this week, after being sacked by Roma – where Mourinho is now – at the end of last season.
His first job will be to try and keep linked-away Harry Kane at the club, and his second will probably be to sign a replacement.
But his third job, get the duster out and give his new seat a once-over.
