Well, the prospect of Tottenham Hotspur hiring Erik Ten Hag grows less likely by the day.
And after events of this morning, it seems very unlikely.
When talks with Paulo Fonseca collapsed last week, ESPN reported that Tottenham could go back and appoint the Ajax boss.
It has been two months since Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho and somewhat farcically, Daniel Levy still hasn’t hired a replacement.
But is that man going to be Ten Hag? Probably not.
The 51-year-old was filmed at the Dutch club’s training ground on Saturday and looked in good spirits as he put his players through their paces in the first session of pre season.
Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to the footage:
Who’s it going to be?
Well that’s been the question on every Spurs fan’s lips since April unbelievably, but it looks like it may be Nuno Espirito Santo.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham are in advanced talks to appoint the former Wolves boss, who left Molineux at the end of last season.
But the Lilywhites had looked closer to getting Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte and Fonseca than they do with Nuno right now, so no supporter is going to be putting the mortgage on it.
