Real Madrid fans have reacted angrily to Liverpool Jurgen Klopp’s comments after their game on Tuesday night.
The Liverpool boss said at his post match press conference, which was covered by BeanyMan Sports on Youtube, that he couldn’t wait to get back to Anfield because it is a ‘proper stadium’.
“It was strange tonight because of the stadium but Anfield is at least a proper stadium. That will be good for us,” he said.
Liverpool had taken Madrid on at the Spanish side’s training complex, as the Bernabeu is being renovated.
But Madrid fans felt that the Liverpool boss was simply making excuses and they weren’t happy with his conduct at full-time.
Klopp’s comments may just add some extra spice ahead of the second-leg.
Liverpool go into the game as heavy underdogs after losing 3-1 first time around.
However, the Reds have turned games around before at Anfield and will be determined to do so again, to create another famous European night.
If Liverpool are to pull off the comeback they will have to deliver a much improved performance though, after putting in such a mediocre display in the first-leg.
