
Celtic fans have quickly batted away suggestions that Thierry Henry may want to be their new manager.
Henry suggested on the Robbie Fowler Podcast that he had great respect for Celtic, and did not rule out a potential move to Parkhead yesterday.
But the reaction to the 43-year-old’s comments has not been a positive one, with many Celtic fans feeling that the Frenchman wouldn’t be the ideal candidate to take over right now.
Henry’s managerial career hasn’t been a roaring success so far, but Rangers did prove that taking a leap of faith in a rookie manager can pay off.
Whether the time is right for Celtic to do so is very much up for debate though.
The Bhoys have certainly gone backwards this season, and an experienced head may be required to get the side back on track again.
At the moment John Kennedy is in temporary charge of Celtic and no decisions have been made over who will be manager next term.
