Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Mirror revealed that Phil Foden is set to come straight back into England’s starting XI.
What’s the story?
Well, the Mirror are claiming that Foden was only absent from the 1-0 win over the Czech Republic amid fears he would pick up another yellow card.
Now, Gareth Southgate is set to bring him straight back into the XI against Germany, as he is a set-piece specialist.
In our view, the reasoning is somewhat strange.
If Southgate was so focused on set-pieces, then why leave James Ward-Prowse – arguably the best set-piece taker in England – at home?
Perhaps Southgate is already thinking about a potential penalty shootout.
Nevertheless, Arsenal fans have kicked up a fuss about the Mirror‘s news, as it could have an impact on Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka or Jack Grealish?

Mason Mount and Foden made way for Saka and Jack Grealish on Tuesday.
With Mount missing England’s preparation for the Germany clash due to his COVID-19 isolation, it’s possible that only one of Grealish or Saka will drop out for Foden.
Arsenal fans are seemingly worried that it could be their wonderkid who faces the axe for Manchester City’s very own boy wonder.
If that does turn out to be the case, it’s hugely unfair on Saka.

The 19-year-old won the Man of the Match award on his tournament debut for England, and breathed new life into the team.
If he is dropped, it would be extremely harsh.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the Mirror‘s report…
