Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react over Harry Kane’s comments after Tottenham Hotspur’s draw with Liverpool on Sunday night.

Kane scored only his second Premier League goal of the season as Tottenham denied title-chasing Liverpool a victory in North London.

But the 28-year-old hitman is making headlines for different reasons.

The Spurs attacker could and probably should’ve been sent off in the first half for a studs-up challenge on Andy Robertson which only earned him a yellow card.

After the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said it was ‘definitely’ a red card.

But Kane defended himself in an interview with Sky Sports, arguing that he felt he got the ball when, actually, television replays indicated he caught all of Robertson and none of the ball.

He said: “No, definitely not, I thought it was a strong tackle but I thought I won the ball. Obviously I haven’t seen it back.”

Here’s how some Arsenal supporters reacted to the striker’s comments on Twitter:

Hindsight

Upon reflection, when he sees the footage, Kane will no doubt hold his hands up.

He might not do it publicly, but the evidence is so damning that claiming to have gotten the ball just isn’t going to wash, as Arsenal fans pointed out.

On a positive note, the out-of-favour Spurs star will hope that his goal against Liverpool leads to a resurgence in form.

It’s well known that he’s one of the Premier League’s finest marksmen and perhaps this strike will lead to him reminding English football of that.

Antonio Conte’s outfit go into Christmas seventh in the table but, with three games in hand over the Gunners in fourth, their place in the standings isn’t an accurate reflection.

And if Kane finds his golden touch again every week, well they’re going to bomb up the table in a massive way.
