Tottenham Hotspur fans are not keen on reports that Gareth Bale may not make his second debut for them until midway through next month.
Tottenham are expected to announce the signing of Bale today, but the Daily Mirror claimed this morning that he is nowhere near fully fit.
Bale will apparently be put on an intensive training schedule upon his arrival at Spurs, as Jose Mourinho looks to get the Welshman back up to speed.
The Mirror say that it could be weeks before Bale is ready to play for Spurs though, with the plan to bring him back into the action against West Ham United on October 17th.
The update has caused frustration among Spurs fans, who feel that would be too long to wait to see their new arrival play, and they are hoping that Bale is included far sooner than that.
Bale’s arrival at Tottenham has created huge excitement, so it is understandable why their fans are so keen to see their imminent arrival in action as soon as possible.
But Bale has not played much club football recently, and Spurs will be cautious to ensure that they nurse him back to full health, as they won’t want to risk injury by throwing him in too soon.
If Bale can get back to his best at Tottenham he will become one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League, and his arrival surely enhances Mourinho’s side’s chances of breaking back into the top four.
