Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in amazement after casting their eyes over Simon Mignolet’s latest Instagram activity.

The former Reds shot-stopper posted a video of himself playing for Club Brugge, where he looks a different player to the one we saw at Anfield.

As you can see from the clip above, the 29-cap Belgium international looks far more comfortable on the ball than he did on Merseyside.

Mignolet can be seen adopting a Manuel Neuer like position, well away from his goal line in a sweeper-keeper role.

We even witness the 33-year-old out on the right wing whipping in a cross!

Just like the Liverpool fans below, we’re slightly baffled.

During his time at Anfield, the former Sunderland glovesman was pretty shaky on the ball.

Yes, there was that time where he dribbled past Cristiano Ronaldo inside the Santiago Bernabeu – we can’t take that away from him.

However, we also witnessed Mignolet kick the ball after he had allowed it to roll over the line against Burnley at Turf Moor, gifting the clarets a corner.

He was liable to an error quite often at Liverpool. However, he looks a man reborn over in his native Belgium, which is good to see.

Let’s take a look at how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to his post…
