Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after William Saliba uploaded some footage of himself in training for OGC Nice on Instagram.
The £27 million man can be seen playing like Neymar in the 32-second footage, in which he makes a mockery of some teammates.
Saliba is filmed pulling off a number of skills, including some dazzling stepovers, a nice heel-flick and what appears to be a nutmeg.
You certainly wouldn’t think he’s a centre-back after watching the footage!
From our point of view, the video was especially pleasing to watch.
Why? Well, it just proved that Saliba is playing with plenty of confidence over in Ligue 1, and hasn’t had his spirits dented by a turbulent campaign.
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season playing Under-23 football, after Mikel Arteta left him out of his Premier League and Europa League squads.
Additionally, the effects of the global pandemic meant he couldn’t really gel with his teammates properly during that period either.
Hopefully, Saliba returns to north London in the summer with the same confidence we can see in the aforementioned footage.
He has far too much potential, and cost the Gunners far too much money, for him not to be involved in the first-team next season.
It would be mind-boggling if Arteta didn’t use him next term.
