Clinton Morrison criticised Sergio Reguilon on BBC Radio 5 Live for getting Reece James booked during Tottenham’s goalless draw at Chelsea on Sunday.
Early in the second half, James was booked for seemingly hitting the Spurs man in the face with his hand as he tried to burst past him.
The incident happened right in front of the Chelsea bench. Their expressions of laughter and disbelief proved what they thought about Reguilon’s reaction.
But Morrison, on commentary for BBC Radio 5 Live, stated ‘no way’ was that a foul or booking and Reguilon ‘made a bit of a meal’ out of the incident.
“Oh my word,” said Morrison. “No, no. Not for me. No way. Listen, sometimes in football, you have to use your arms to get in front.
“Reguilon, he has made a bit of a meal out of that. No way is that a yellow card. No, no, no.
“It’s the reaction that gets him booked. You don’t want to see that.”

Tottenham and Chelsea have been involved in some goal fests this season, so it was fitting that they were going to throw up a goalless draw for their fans to try and feed off.
In the end, both Jose Mourinho and Frank Lampard would have been pleased with the point because they can now look towards the positives.
Before a ball was kicked, Lampard would have been well aware of how his former manager would have set up, now it’s a case of knocking him off the top of the table.
