Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after stumbling across a photo of Rob Holding at London Colney from earlier today.

What’s the story?

Well, the 26-year-old looks a bit different nowadays, and the Arsenal supporters on Twitter are stunned.

It’s no secret that Holding had a hair transplant, which the Emirates Stadium faithful have already commented on.

Now, however, it has blossomed into a full head of hair, much to the shock of Arsenal fans who became accustomed to his receding hairline.

One supporter said it was a Christmas miracle, whereas another fan hopped onto Twitter to announce the end of Holding’s nickname, Rob Balding.

The £40,000-a-week man certainly has the funds to transform his hairline, and who can blame him for putting them to good use.

As we’ve seen with Wayne Rooney over the years, hair transplants can still go wrong – however, Holding’s has clearly been a huge success.

Does Rob Holding have a future at Arsenal?

While Holding’s life off the field has clearly been productive, he’s barely done anything on the pitch this term following the arrival of Benjamin White.

The £2m man has only made two Premier League starts, and just three Premier League appearances in total this season.

It comes after he made 28 Premier League starts last term, so Mikel Arteta has clearly decided Holding wasn’t what he was looking for at the back.

In reserve, the ex-Bolton man must still compete with Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers, as well as William Saliba when he returns.

In that respect, Holding may need to explore a new avenue if he wants regular first-team football, as White and Gabriel Magalhães still have many, many years left in the tank.

For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying after spotting a fresh picture of him in training at London Colney…
