‘No thought for Leeds’: Some Liverpool fans blast Karen Brady’s comments

Liverpool fans have hit out at West Ham vice-chairman, Karen Brady, for her comments regarding the European Super League.

With Liverpool planning to breakaway to the ESL last Sunday, such plans, which now have been shattered to pieces, would have been an issue for Champions League-chasing West Ham.

Many have had their say on the issue during the past week, from Liverpool owners apologising to comments from the West Ham boardroom.

Brady claimed that the trust between the 14 Premier League clubs, and those who wanted to breakaway, has now ‘vanquished’, as quoted by Sky Sports.

And after certain CEO’s were labelled ‘snakes’ for their recent actions, West Ham’s vice-chair claimed that they have been called worse than that.

But Liverpool supporters have hit back at Brady’s comments and reminded her about last season.

When football was postponed at the back end of last season, there were calls for the season to be null and voided, including by Brady herself as West Ham were battling relegation.

At the time, everyone knew Liverpool were heading for the Premier League title, it just wasn’t confirmed, so it grabbed the attention of those from Merseyside.

Plus, the likes of Leeds, Fulham and West Brom, who are now in the Premier League, would have stayed in the Championship.

What about the fans then? Especially the Leeds faithful, who after over 15 years returned to the big time and are now on course to finish in the top ten.
